Immediate position needed to work from our Mulberry, Florida office for an API Inspector (653, 570 and/or 510) with Level II or III NDT (non-destructive testing). This is a full-time, permanent position which does require some travel, but most nights are at home.
Applicants must be experienced in the applicable codes, non-destructive testing methods, have excellent attention to detail, and have a working knowledge of AutoCad and Microsoft Office software.
This is a relatively small company with a great reputation for quality and professionalism. This position requires a person who can perform field work, write reports and build/maintain client relationships. We're not looking for short-term job-hoppers. Minimum Requirements
- A thorough knowledge of steel fabrication and API 653 Certification
- Ability to perform field inspection procedures
- A clean driving record with a valid driver’s license.
- Pass a drug test screening.
- Pass a federal, state, and local background check.
- Heavy lifting - objects up to approximately 80 lbs.
- Climbing fixed ladders up to approximately 150 ft.
- Ability to keep comprehensive, neat, and organized notations of observed conditions.
- Ability to understand and operate electronic equipment.
- Ability to travel on short notice.
- Maintain a professional appearance with a positive presentation.
- Possess good communication skills and relationship building with clients
- A knowledge of AutoCAD or similar computer aided drafting (CAD) programs.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook).
Additional certifications desired, but not required are:
- STI-SP001 Inspector
- NACE/AMPP Inspector
- MFE Floor Scanning
- Current CPR & First Aid
- TWIC Card
- Trained in OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Current safety training (within the last 12 months) to include, but not limited to: confined space, fall protection, LOTO, HazCom, etc.
