The Threat Intelligence Unit produces timely, accurate, relevant, and predictive intelligence on cyber security threats, threat actors, and vulnerabilities, to enable Fed Agency's decision makers to protect critical assets and reduce business risk.
The resource will work as an integral part of the Threat Intelligence Unit under Fed Agency's Manager, Threat Operation, Threat Intelligence Unit in the CSOC.
- The candidate will be a Cyber Threat Analyst with 5+ years of experience.
- The candidate will hold strong skills in cyber threat intelligence analysis and reporting, cyber defense techniques, and adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP).
- The candidate will support the mission of the Threat Intelligence Unit by analyzing and tracking adversaries, creating and sharing intelligence both internal and external to CISO, and creating and updating cyber threat profiles for leadership.
- The candidate will hold strong communication skills, both oral and written, with excellent interpersonal and organization skills.
Bachelors degree in an engineering/cyber discipline with at least 10+ years of professional experience; or equivalent experience/combined education; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. PLUS
*2 years of leadership experience with planning and managing security engagements.
Bachelors and ten (10) years or more experience; or Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience
CERTIFICATIONS: (One or more required)
-CompTIA Security +
-CPTE - Certified Penetration Testing Engineer or CEH - Certified Ethical Hacker
-DoD 8570 certification (e.g., GSEC, Security+CE, SCNP, SSCP)
-Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)
-CISA - Certified Information Systems Auditor.
