About the Role:
This role is a one stop shop for all things social media. We’re a newly formed media company with a growing podcast, weekly newsletter, engaged social media audience and content website. We’re looking for somebody to put the pieces together for us on social media and lead the single member department.
We’re a start up and currently fundraising so this could lead to a full time position provided there’s mutual interest but for now this is a contract, part time freelancer role.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement social media campaigns to support the company's brand and business objectives.
- Create and curate engaging content for the company's social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Manage day-to-day activities on the company's social media channels, including scheduling posts, responding to comments, and engaging with followers.
- Collaborate with the teams to create social media content that supports campaigns and initiatives.
- Analyze social media data and provide insights to the team to improve performance and engagement.
- Stay up-to-date with social media trends and best practices to ensure the company's social media strategy is cutting-edge and effective.
Requirements:
- A passion for our mission and the community we’re building.
- 2-3 years of experience in social media management or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience creating and curating engaging content for social media channels.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and their best practices.
- Experience using social media management tools such as Hootsuite or Buffer.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decisions.
- Passion for social media and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices.
