We are currently looking for an experienced Product Design Manager (Software) to be based in our Raleigh office.

The Product Design Manager will lead a team that ensures our products are well thought through, with the end user in mind. They will take draft Epics from Product Management through a process of iteractive design, to deliver sprint-ready user stories for our Engineering and QA teams.

The Product Design Manager will report to the Head of Product Design.



Manage the Product Design team, consisting of UX Consultants and System Analysts
Define and manage all aspects of a User-Centred Design Process
Understand the how to best meet the needs of clients, through UX Research, analytics, data, competitor benchmarking and design trends
Together with your team, create compelling, engaging end-to-end experiences which balance user needs, business goals, and technological realities across desktop and mobile channels using state-of-the art interaction and visual design
Work closely with Product Managers, QA and Engineering to design exceptional products
Communicate designs through flows, customer journeys, wireframes, ideally in the form of HTML prototypes, to support cross-disciplinary team communication, collaboration, development and quality assurance
In close collaboration with the software architects, manage the systems analysis process and develop system specifications such as: business rules specifications, ER diagrams, page and field validations, and context sensitive help
Accountable for design pattern library and visual style guide definition, creation and maintenance
Learn about clients and partners and collect feedback on your design concepts in partnership with our Product Managers
Create engaging, compelling and well-structured presentations of your designs
Transparently communicate on your progress
Influence senior stakeholders
Mentor the team and support their growth


Proven experience in product design as outlined above
At least five years' experience in User Experience design role
Comprehensive understanding of UX Design principles
Deep expertise in Axure, including prototype design and component library creation
Senior experience in Information Design, with a portfolio that includes User Journey Maps, Wireframes, and Prototypes
Ability to create rapid prototypes to prove or disprove your hypothesis
Ability to take ownership, creatively solve problems, and proactively secure the objectives of the business
High levels of independence, being able to work without close supervision, managing your own time and work
Accurate and meticulous with extreme attention to detail
Solid problem solving and analytical skills
Initiative, having the confidence to make decisions and act on them
Great communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent presentation skills especially with multiple stakeholders
Experience of work in a demanding, fast-paced environment with ambitious schedules in an Agile environment
Ability to travel as needed
