Responsible for performing a variety of financial and customer service tasks specific to student accounts using established college policies, procedures, and guidelines. Person interacts with students, parent, and the public community on a daily basis. Must be able to communicate financial information in a professional and courteous manner, to help students and parents understand their financial accountability to the college.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists with financial aid application process, analyzes student accounts, presents at new student orientation.
Create third party student payment plans and ensure payments are made by the established deadline and posted to students accounts.
Accepts and posts students credit card and third parties payments.
Partners with Admission staff to ensure all admission fees are accurately posted and reconciled.
Reviews and interprets applicable principles, federal, and/or state laws and regulations in the course of official duties.
Will be responsible to verify and explain verbally and written account summary information, financial aid awards, and charges associated with the student bills in a professional manner.
Compiles and analyzes statistical, financial and other data as it relates to student billing.
Attends and participates in meetings and events related to assigned responsibilities.
Provides students with exceptional customer service at office, via telephone and email.
Accurately maintains late fees, holds and administers other minor maintenance to a student's account.
Orders supplies, post invoices and pay bills.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree or higher
A minimum of one (1) year of professional experience in different aspects of administration and business practices
A minimum of one (1) year related experience working in a Student Accounts setting.
Trained to answer questions concerning financial aid.
Strong listening, problem analysis and solving skills.
Organizational skills with an attention to detail.
Has stress tolerance and resilience when responding to challenging customers.
Adaptability to work alone or within a team.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, interpret, and apply established law, regulations, procedures, precedents, and guidelines.
Ability to keep confidentiality of student/parent financial and personal information.
Ability to work in a fast paced/demanding environment.
