Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for an Environmental Technical Writer/Editor opportunity in Richland, WA to support CPCCo for the Hanford Site.
STATEMENT OF WORK: Document Production - Regulatory Strategy and Integration (RS&I) - 349133
INTRODUCTION / BACKGROUND
This contract is issued for the performance of Document Production: 100-NR-2, 100-BC-5 RD/RA Work Plan, Annual GW Report, 100/200 P&T Report and AEA SAP in support to the Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo) work scope for the period through September 30, 2021. CPCCo is a prime contractor to the Department of Energy (DOE) and all work on this Statement of Work will be performed in support of the CPCCO contract with DOE.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK – GENERAL
Contractor employee shall be responsible for independently planning, organizing and performing a variety of non-hazardous specialized regulatory decision document editing duties in support of the successful completion of goals and deliverables and in accordance with all provisions of the contract.
Seeking a single dedicated individual to provide regulatory decision document editing in support of the Regulatory Strategy and Integration (RS&I) business group.
It is expected that the services shall consist of at least part time (some week’s full time), regular-work, basis for the period - Date of award to September 30, 2021.
The individual shall have access to CPCCo information via CPCCo’s document control and configuration management system. CPCCo will identify or specify site specific documents, drawings, data or other information that is to be included in the Contractor’s overall technical support. Hanford Local Area Network (HLAN) access for the purposes of retrieving/accessing CPCCo procedures and documents will be provided by CPCCo.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK – SPECIFIC
Document Production – Technical Writer/Editor
Must have a minimum of:
Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in English.
With at least 10-years’ experience providing expert technical writing and editorial support to government, commercial, and private organizations.
Document editor with skills and experience suitable for producing Hanford regulatory strategy and decision documents, Environmental Calculation File (ECFs), RCRA monitoring plans, CERCLA Sampling and Analysis Plans and AEA program sampling and analysis plans could be required.
Additional experience needed for this position includes the following;
Writing regulatory and in some cases company policies and technical procedures
Instructing staff on technical writing, business writing, and general composition
Working with and collaborating with geologists, physicists, engineers, and scientists.
Managing, organizing, and maintaining electronic files and researching reference material.
Results oriented professional,
Organized, punctual, detailed-oriented, self-starter with the ability to coordinate and complete multiple documents on schedule.
Knowledgeable of Hanford Site computer record systems, and general policies and procedures.
The work products and services to be provided, including any specific CPCCo standards and requirements, required for the successful completion of this work activity includes technical writing and editing/formatting.
Work Location / Access Requirements (if applicable)
Work will either be performed remotely or a government supplied facility.
Site Access and Work Hours
Work schedules are flexible but generally are 4 x 10 schedule. The standard workday shall consist of ten (10) hours of work between 6:00 AM and 4:30 PM, with one-half hour designated as an unpaid period for lunch. No work occurs on the non-working Fridays.
