Life Skills Village, a Division of Mind Health Group, is a multidisciplinary rehabilitation facility, specializing in the emotional, behavioral, and cognitive treatment of individuals - adults, children, and adolescents - who have persistent psychiatric and mental health conditions, congenital or developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries or other catastrophic injuries, organic neurological issues, chronic pain, chronic medical conditions, among other complaints. Our treatment program includes occupational and physical therapy, psychotherapy, cognitive rehabilitation, speech-language pathology, and vocational rehabilitation to aid in our clients progressing towards their highest level of functioning and overall improved quality of life and independence.

Position Overview and Expected Duties
The Speech-Language Pathologist position is responsible for providing speech/language therapy services to our adult and pediatric population in an outpatient setting; including evaluation, treatment, and development of treatment plans.
- Administer evaluations to adults and children with speech, language, communication, and/or cognitive disorders.
- Provide skilled intervention to adults and children with speech/language disorders.
- Develop treatment goals
- Complete documentation efficiently and timely to support therapeutic interventions (i.e. intake reports, sessions notes, discharge reports, etc.).
- Communicate and collaborate with other clinical staff and external treatment team as needed.
- Working as a collaborative member of an interdisciplinary team
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Master's degree in speech language pathology required
- Michigan SLP license required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence, or eligibility to apply, required
- Experience working with both adults and children required
