Position Summary

This position will include performing controls service, programming, and the commissioning. You will be working closely with members of our service team to maintain systems for customers. This will include control programming of Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, Distech, and 3rd party integrations. The desire to be a contributing member of the team and ability to think outside the box to provide solutions and controls strategies is critical.

Essential Position Functions

  • Perform Building Automation System integrations
  • Generate custom graphical interface for new and existing controls systems
  • Install and program Building Automation Systems
  • Troubleshoot system issues and deliver/recommend solutions to customer and/or complete implementation
  • Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of system components
  • Set-up and maintain system trend logs needed for diagnostics and repairs
  • Perform system database maintenance and back-up/restore functions as needed
  • Ability to troubleshoot controls system components utilizing standard hand tools and digital metering or calibration equipment
  • Working knowledge of PCs and computer networking
  • Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings and schematics
  • Ability to generate controls submittals and drawings (preferred)

Job Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience programming building automation systems (BAS) and integrating with third party equipment
  • Advanced computer skills, including creating graphics for commercial BAS graphical user interfaces
  • Strong understanding of commercial building mechanical & electrical operations
  • Experience programming the following product line: Tridium (Ax, N4)
  • Experience programming the following manufacturers is preferred: Distech, Honeywell Spyders and XL10, Johnson FX, Schneider Electric I/A Series and Trane
  • Comprehensive knowledge of controls concepts/applications and troubleshooting/editing DDC controls programs
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently and as a member of a team
  • Physical ability to walk construction sites, including stairs and ladders
  • Working knowledge of multiple systems via integration including Standard BAS protocols such as LON, BACnet, Modbus
