We are currently looking for a world-class Systems Engineer to join our vehicle development team. Candidates should be self-starters who bring positive attitude, integrity, and enthusiasm to our team as we transform personal transportation.
As a Key Contributor You Will work with the lead engineers to ensure compliance with all requirements and ensure all interfaces are well-characterized, tested and documented.
Key Responsibilities and Activities
Maintains product-specific execution plans for system-level aspects.
Coordinates and integrates with requirements engineering, design integration, and other engineering functions to ensure adequacy of the verification and validation (V&V) approach for development of successful compliance against requirements
Analyzes system- and component-level interfaces to identify problem areas and propose mitigation approaches
Serves on Change Control Board by assessing impact of proposed engineering changes on system interfaces and providing a technical recommendation of the proposed change and its impact to company leadership
Serves as the risk manager for the vehicle system by identifying, communicating, documenting and resolving potential risks related to the products and processes
Identifies, documents, and coordinates technical aspects for development of new interfaces / functionality or changes to existing complex system functionality to support market-driven or specific customer requirements
Improves processes, tools, and procedures
With some guidance, coordinates technical roadmaps
Required Skills and Experience
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics or similar field and minimum of 2 years relevant systems engineering experience
Demonstrates advanced knowledge in systems engineering and product development
Outstanding organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
Experience with validation planning, supported by ground and flight activities and instrumentation
Desired Skills and Experience
Master’s degree and 4 years relevant experience in product development or systems engineering
Knowledge of component level and integrated systems verification planning (qualification and acceptance) and have experience working with and presenting to test and verification boards
Experience with established risk management techniques such as DoD RIO or PMBOK RM
