Service Operations Supervisor for Fire and Security Services
The Pittsburgh Service department has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced individual within our Building Technology Division located in Bridgeville.
In this role, you will have responsibility for managing and developing the team of service specialists for the Pittsburgh Branch. You will have the responsibility of driving the portfolio of “Digital Services” to assure the customers receive full value for the service they have purchased.
In this role you will be the face of Siemens to the customer, responsible for the delivery of world class service. You will have the strategic function of developing additional opportunities for time and material and project work through your service staff and by direct interaction with the customers. You will work very closely with the Solutions and Service Account Executives to communicate information about upcoming projects and opportunities that require a higher level of support.
Develop the relationship to become the “Trusted Advisor” to the customer and bring ideas for projects or changes that can enhance system operations or create energy savings.
Insure all aspects of the prescribed services included in the service agreements are delivered in accordance with the contract documents.
Manage service migrations and quoted projects as they pertain to the building automation business.
Identify projects, develop scope documents, and deliver proposals for any recommended projects or customer requested changes.
Assist in the development and delivery of Digital Services to the customer.
Stay abreast of the current trends and products that we will propose to the customers and insure that the team has the necessary training and skills to deliver the product.
You will be managing the current service team for the building automation business, and make recommendations for additions as needed to support the growth of the business.
You will create employment requisitions, screen candidates and make recommendations for new hires necessary to accommodate growth or the introduction of new initiatives
You shall have responsibility for the development of new hires, through effective training programs and mentoring.
You will perform yearly performance evaluations for all of the assigned field staff in the building automation cost centers.
Insure inspection reports are complete and submitted in a timely basis.
Manage the work schedules with the branch coordinators to insure resources are available and scheduled to perform the work.
Make recommendation to the Service Operations manager for additional resources and equipment.
Branch Key Goals
- Drive the T&M business with the account
- Manage Service Migration Projects $50k and less
- Evaluate and Estimate customer requested projects
- Support the CSM in their role of managing the complete Service Agreement Base
- Supervise the onsite field service staff as necessary
- Advise and support the Solutions team on upcoming opportunities, and communicate all customer concerns and or issues with ongoing projects.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Associates degree in business management, electronics or other related technical field preferred.
Experience in managing groups of individuals
Experience with scheduling personnel to deliver high quality service
Experience with managing a service business and the associated financials.
Optional Skills, Education, and Experience
Technical knowledge of building systems
Capable of providing customer training, technical or application support

- Individual must be at least 21 years of age in order to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan
