PCI is seeking an experienced Branch Safety Engineer for its PAS/PCI Democon operations based in Woodinville, WA. This individual will report to the Operations Manager Dan Lehosky and Corporate Regional Safety Manager to provide leadership and direction on all Safety matters, including measuring and evaluation the effectiveness of the safety program and making and recommending modifications as needed to achieve established safety goals and objectives.
This position is responsible for the following duties:
Assist the branch with implementing and administering the PCG and client accident prevention plans, policies, and procedures.
Ensure that the company and client safety reports, statistics and documentation are submitted in a timely manner.
Provide safety technical expertise and support to the branch.
Promote safety and safe work practices.
Assist in the investigation of work-related injuries, illnesses, and near-miss incidents.
Enforce corrective action to prevent the recurrence of hazardous conditions or behaviors.
Practice timely and accurate accident reporting.
Review all accidents and investigation reports.
Act as liaison between the company and client as it relates to site safety management.
Assist in identifying, correcting, and mitigating routine and non-routine safety and health hazards.
Council and coach workers to gain compliance with the accident prevention plans, policies and procedures.
Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential safety health hazards.
Conduct job site inspections and periodic audits to establish and evaluate the level of compliance.
Establish branch and project safety goals.
Evaluate and approve safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Provide comprehensive monthly reports to Corporate Regional Safety Manager.
5 years’ experience implementing safety on demo and abatement projects
CHST or other BCSP Credentials preferred
OSHA, DOT, FMC, MSHA, EPA, Fossil Power, experience preferred
Industrial Hygiene experience or certification
Ability to draft, edit, and approve Demolition and Asbestos Abatement workplans
Qualified to train on boom, scissor, and forklifts
Ability to track and facilitate all required annual safety training
Proficient computer skills in MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic demonstrated by experience
Ability to plan and organize assigned projects
Experience writing JHAs and work plans for federal customers (EM 385)
Haz waste profiling experience
Participates in local forums and is up to date on state-of-the-art PPE ETC…
AHERA Building inspector
AHERA Project designer
Ability to track all equipment inspections, or work with the warehouse personnel so they have the training and tools to do this.
Track all medical monitoring for employees
Ability to audit health care providers medical monitoring programs for compliance (For RCRA, Asbestos and Silica)
Experience with the Work Comp process in WA State
