Our company is seeking a full-time transactional Real Estate Paralegal. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support for real estate transactions including assisting in all aspects of lease, lease amendments, tenant estoppels, managing and responding to tenant default letters and seeking lender consents. Candidate will prepare lease abstracts and maintain lease database. This role will also include the drafting of resolutions and maintenance of the Company’s legal files and various related tasks. The position will report to an attorney in the legal department and involves close collaboration and teamwork with all members of the legal team, outside counsel as well as with colleagues in other departments across the Company. Additional experience with general corporate work such as entity formation, annual filings, dissolutions, keeping minutes and drafting resolutions is preferred.
Candidate must be comfortable with handling multiple transactions simultaneously. Candidate must also possess sound analytical and critical thinking abilities upon which advanced skills could be developed with additional time and experience.
Excellent organizational and administrative skills, including performing duties accurately and in a timely manner;
Ability to work independently and identify potentially more effective methods of work operation;
Very strong communication skills (verbal and written), ability to take direction and work effectively with minimal supervision.
Advanced skills with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to quickly master a variety of software platforms and electronic filing systems.
