Our construction company is looking for an organized, detail-oriented accounting professional to join our team as a Full Charge Bookkeeper. We're looking for a self-motivated person to handle bookkeeping responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Accounts Receivable – multiple entities
  • Accounts Payable; matching items receipts and POs to Vendor bills
  • Reconciling Vendor statements
  • Maintaining Vendor and Customer files
  • Set-up and maintain Vendor accounts
  • Se-up and maintain subcontractor accounts and files
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly business tax returns
  • Reconciling Bank and credit card accounts – multiple entities
  • Ensuring receipts are collected for all company credit/debit card transactions
  • Variance job cost reconciliations
  • Complete Monthly Excise/B&O Tax Returns
  • Payroll, HR functions
  • Monitor and input payroll, accurately and timely
  • Post payroll journal entries
  • Maintain employee records in payroll system
  • Communicate with employees regarding payroll/timesheets
  • Year End Activities (1099)
  • Office Administration
  • Keep organized records and files for easy and efficient retrieval
  • Miscellaneous
  • Ideal Candidate would have the following experience:
  • Proficiency in Sage Accounting (peachtree), Microsoft Excel, Word and Windows operating systems
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently to resolve problems
  • Analytical and strategic thinker
  • Associate's degree in accounting, business, or finance, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 4 years of professional experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper
  • Construction industry experience a plus
