JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically adept Product Manager to take ownership of an ongoing SAAS project and guide it to a successful launch. This includes software debugging, beta customer client releases, and orchestrating and determining future release phases and development cycles. This is a unique opportunity to step into a key role on a project that is already in motion, as well as empowering the current team and projects and helping to bring them across the finish line. You will work closely with small cross-functional teams including Engineering, Design, and Marketing to ensure the final product meets our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take over the management of an in-progress project, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity in development.
- Define and refine the remaining product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with company goals and project timelines.
- Lead the product development lifecycle through the final stages, ensuring timely delivery of a high-quality product.
- Work closely with upper management to gather and prioritize remaining product features and requirements, to deeply learn the needs of the company, and align work priorities to achieve tangible goals.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to translate product and business requirements into technical specifications by writing and managing epics and tickets.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog, focusing on key deliverables needed to bring the project to completion.
- Act as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries and issues during the final phases of the project and beyond.
- Accept, organize, and parse internal and end-user feedback to prioritize work and balance features vs. stability.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- PMI Certification: Project Management Professional [PMP] or Certified associate in project management [CAPM] certification required.
- 3-4 years proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role in a technology-driven environment, with a track record of bringing products to successful completion.
- Strong understanding of web technologies including JavaScript and React.
- Previous work with server-side technologies such as PHP, Laravel and databases such as MySQL.
- Strong understanding of Quality Assurance [QA] principles and their application in product development.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and product management tools such as JIRA and other Atlassian tools.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud.
- Previous experience in a SaaS or software development company.
- Ability to work closely with engineering teams to understand technical constraints and opportunities.
- Excellent organization, documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric mindset.
