The Warehouse Manager is will supervise, train and develop all household goods and warehouse production labor while delivering an unprecedented high level of service to all Dependable Relocation internal and external warehouse customers, as well as maintain the highest standards in facility maintenance and ensure accurate tracking, coding and invoicing of all storage.
Warehouse Manager- Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Manages warehouse staff and activities
Works with Mayflower Van Lines to obtain SIT numbers, set off authorization codes and be proficient in the execution of the Mover’s Suite system and Mayflower system.
Review the work orders coming to the warehouse and assign the appropriate employees, equipment, supplies and materials to accomplish the tasks.
Establish and/or adjust work procedures to meet job requirements using knowledge of capacities of employees, warehouse space and equipment.
Inspect crewmembers work and recommend measures to improve work methods, equipment performance and quality of work and suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency and profitability of work crew.
Analyze and resolve work problems or assist employees in solving problems.
Conduct required training for warehouse employees or work with Human Resources to arrange for the required training.
Train employees in the safety regulations applicable to his/her work team and evaluate employees for compliance to safety standards.
Recommend measures to improve work methods, equipment performance, and quality of work and suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency, accuracy, and profitability.
Maintain time and production records for cost analyses, prepare injury reports and provide data for management reports.
Keep all warehouse logs up-to-date.
Perform weekly pre-shift meetings with production crews.
Control, order, and monitor packing material inventory and give an accurate report of all packing material monthly.
Perform all aspects necessary in the coordination of auctioning off abandoned storage and communicate auction plans to GM and Credit/Collections Manager.
Identify, document and communicate storage procedures as needed.
Other tasks and duties as assigned or apparent.

Warehouse Manager- Education and Experience
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in a warehouse environment in the transportation, logistics, or related industry required. Must have previous experience managing employees. Experience controlling equipment inventory preferred but not required. Valid state driver’s license required.
