Curology is looking for a collaborative, highly motivated, and detail oriented Payroll Manager who will lead all payroll initiatives. This role will collaborate cross functionally for all payroll processes and will lead all payroll related aspects of our upcoming new Payroll/HRIS system implementation.
This role will report to our Controller.
What you'll do
Manage and process employee and contractor payrolls for a multi-state and multi-entity team of 500+ and growing, and partner cross functionally to ensure payroll process is scalable and efficient
Lead all payroll aspects of the upcoming Payroll/HRIS system implementation
Ensure accuracy of the systematic data integration between the new Payroll/HRIS system, benefits platform (PlanSource), and ERP (Netsuite) accounting system
Partner with Benefits teammate to audit and reconcile monthly benefit invoices against deductions
Collaborate with Tax teammate on new state payroll tax registrations and withholdings
Own all payroll related journal entries, reconciliations and analysis
Assist with payroll related deliverables for audits (annual external audit, workers compensation, 401K, etc)
Support stock administration function; ensure all equity activity for new and terminated employees is tracked and maintained accurately for board approval and within our stock admin system (Carta)
What you'll need
4-6 years of relevant experience with high-growth companies with multi-state payroll is required
BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or other closely related field
In-depth knowledge of ADP, Paylocity, and Workday (Strongly Desired)
In-depth knowledge of Netsuite and Excel (Strongly Desired)
Certified Payroll Professional (Strongly Desired)
Prior stock administration experience (Desired)
Experience leading payroll system implementations
Effective and collaborative communication skills
Ability to foster beneficial relationships with key stakeholders
Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, and experience applying these skills to resolve payroll process and system issues
Strong project management skills and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities and projects
Superb attention to detail and able to deliver results in a fast paced and dynamic environment
