Roles & Responsibilities
What You Will Learn During the Internship:
How complex security risk assessments of high value corporate facilities, operations, and assets are conducted, and how those assessments support national homeland security strategies.
How open source intelligence is collected, evaluated, and analyzed to develop threat assessments and comprehensive risk forecasts, which in turn serve as the foundation for building risk-based global security programs within the company.
How corporate investigations are conducted in various international legal jurisdictions and how the lessons learned from investigations can be extracted and applied to support global business goals and objectives.
How corporate crisis management and business continuity programs are customized to corporate / industry risk profiles so as to minimize security risk while directly supporting global business operations.
How proactive, intelligence based supply chain security and asset protection programs are integrated into business models to enable operations within high-risk international markets.
How multi-dimensional global security risk management strategies are developed and then implemented in a manner that adds quantifiable value to business operations.

Min. Qualifications
Internship Requirements:
Upper level undergraduate or graduate student(s) who is majoring in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Global Security, or Security Management and who has at least one (1) recommendation from a university faculty member
Able to work 25 hours per week at our Downtown Houston location
Have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, where 3.5 or above is preferred
Be able to pass a pre-employment background investigation and drug test
Willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement relating to LyondellBasell confidential and proprietary information
Successfully complete an on-site interview for the intern position at our Downtown Houston location
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status
