eCommerce Director, Kimberly-Clark Professional North America
This eCommerce role will lead the Kimberly-Clark Professional North American eCommerce team, along with cross-functional teams, to enable eCommerce channel growth and rapidly grow share across online distribution channels.
The eCommerce Director role will lead the strategic development and delivery of Kimberly-Clark Professional’s North American eCommerce acceleration efforts by:
Implementing key enabling functions, technologies and customer strategies to accelerate sales growth across indirect eCommerce distribution channels.
Driving a winning digital shelf strategy (assortment, pricing, merchandising, content) that leverages the power of KCP’s world-class brands.
Developing the business case for and managing an A&P budget to deliver profitable eCommerce sales and share growth.
This position is responsible for North American eCommerce operations and sales delivery but will require coordination with the North American Sales team, the Global eCommerce team, and VP-level stakeholders. This also includes working with cross-functional teams including IT, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance to build and manage strategic workstream and to execute those workstreams. The role will be responsible for ensuring that the execution of key initiatives and objectives are reached within defined timelines, budget, and revenue growth targets.
Be both the commercial and overall implementation leader for Kimberly-Clark Professional's (KCP) eCommerce strategic business plan in North America
Lead a cross-functional team with skills in Data Analytics, Marketing, Sales and Marketing Capability, and Product Management
Inspire and influence key business leaders in Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Integrated Marketing Communications, and Global eCommerce teams to drive share and sales acceleration
Direct business leadership of “pure play” eCommerce customers (e.g., Amazon, Wayfair, etc.); influence and provide strategic guidance on the eCommerce aspects of “Omnichannel” customers (e.g., Staples, Grainger, MSC)
Drive organizational awareness and capability around eCommerce and its growing impact to the overall business
Manage the project planning, execution and ongoing progress of defined eCommerce strategies on a day-to-day basis, with full accountability for results and timely deliverance
Develop, manage, and communicate project plan(s) that track key milestones, deliverables, rollout progress, leading indicators, and performance metrics
Identify & assemble resources, both direct & indirect, needed as part of delivering the overall success of eCommerce in KCP North America
Implement standard work processes, reporting and templates across work streams to ensure clear integration of each work stream into the overall project delivery
Lead regular steering team meetings with senior leaders to review implementation progress
Lead process preparation for staff review
Communicate status / results regularly to key stakeholders
Identify risks within project plans and build risk mitigation strategies
10-15+ years of marketing and/or business leadership in eCommerce
5+ years of team leadership responsibility
Outstanding demonstration of leadership and stakeholder management with VP-level or above leadership
Experience successfully working with cross-functional groups (e.g., sales, marketing, finance, operations) to execute multi-faceted project plans
Demonstrated ability in successfully delivering eCommerce growth in indirect distribution channels
Interpersonal, analytical and project-management skills
Must be detail-oriented and deadline focused and hold others accountable for the same practices
A demonstrated ability to navigate and perform in large organizations
10-15+ years of experience in eCommerce and/or digital marketing roles
Working knowledge of eCommerce technologies (e.g. PIM, CMS, Omniture, etc.)
Able to work in a matrix organization driving collaboration across functions, geographies and businesses
History of working with sales, marketing teams and large customers to drive growth initiatives
Able to inspire, motivate and lead direct team members and project teams to achieve outstanding results
