BAM Communications is looking for a high-level managing director. The newest member of the BAM team will be someone results-driven, creative, empowered to lead accounts, eager to bring ideas to the table and professional.

A college degree or beyond in communications, journalism or business with an emphasis in marketing or public relations
A minimum of 7 years hands-on agency PR experience
Proven public relations results secured in major national outlets such as Inc., Fast Company, TechCrunch, NY Times and the Wall Street Journal
Relevant experience with both Fortune 1000 and startup companies

Job duties may include:
Responsible for delivering and coaching account directors and account managers on creative, forward-thinking integrated marketing campaigns, consulting the client on its broader PR and marketing strategy.
The managing director is a commercial and board level point of contact who ensures BAM meets client expectations and that clients feel strategic leadership with consistent, meaningful communication on the value of the work BAM does.
The managing director must deepen client relationships - and seek out and form relationships with NEW clients - by identifying and selling additional services, thereby impacting revenue and income.
Engages in and ensures a strategic relationship with the client, providing insight and partnership across all aspects of the marketing and communications spectrum.
Responsible for ensuring excellent client communication at all levels; defining KPIs, deadlines and service agreements.
Delivers an added-value consultancy and works closely with clients to deliver campaigns, services and products across traditional and emerging communications channels.
Maximizes media relations activity on behalf of the client via an in-depth knowledge of team networks.
Recognizes and creates media opportunities for the client in line with wider industry activity.
Shares their detailed knowledge of the media landscape with team members, operating as a significant contributor in the tech space, as well as digital and specialty group market.
Utilizes their network to create and maximize client coverage, advising on potential narrative, storytelling and thought leadership opportunities
Oversees the creation of high quality and engaging content, providing knowledgeable quality control and guidance to all relevant colleagues.
Works with the client and account director to develop and implement an impactful content strategy.
Works with account director and account manager to improve team’s knowledge of content trends, driving a commitment to excellent storytelling across the business.
Uses social media to recognize trends and proactively promotes new tools, solutions and processes to continuously evolve and optimize client PR campaigns across the business.
Provides social media insight as well as strategic management of client activity as appropriate.
Takes overall leadership responsibility for the account team, including coaching, supervision, assessment and reviews of all team members.
Sets strategic team objectives on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis (as applicable)Defines deliverable client objectives and sets standards of excellence for all client activity, driving commitment from all levels of the team and partnering with account director on team activity.
Monitors team activity levels against budget, increasing fees and negotiating with clients and suppliers where necessary.
Plays a leading role in the new business process, project managing pitch teams and delivering credible solutions to new business challenges.
Acts as leader in guiding colleagues on how to best manage campaigns and projects.
Ensures profitability on all accounts and effectively manages budgets.
Understands and maximizes the impact of client revenues on the business.
Communicates account performance internally and provides strategic advice to the client based on measurable analysis.
Monitors, reports, and establishes account KPIs and ensures accurate reporting by account director and account manager.
Runs and supports training sessions, with a view to maximizing opportunities to expand team skills and grow revenuesTakes a proactive role in promoting the BAM brand, its identity, values and work.
Supports the HR / talent team by promoting both internal and external opportunities at BAM across social media and via the referral scheme.
Track record of retention and the profitable growth of existing accounts.
Is responsible for organic growth on existing clients by demonstrating ability to spot opportunities, proactively educate clients on additional BAM services, and proactively ideate ways to grow clients’ business, thereby impacting revenues and income at BAM.
