The Western States Regional Council of Carpenters (WSRCC) is currently seeking a motivated, organized, and experienced Paralegal to support the Contract Administration goals of our organization.
The Paralegal will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and approving Contract department documents including, but not limited to, contracts, correspondence, MOUs, legislation, litigation filings, and other legal and business related documents. The Paralegal will also be asked to generate new document templates and/or convert existing PDF documents into templates for future use which will require the removal of OCR/scanning artifacts and correction of indexes, tables, formatting, and other issues. The Paralegal will be expected to have extensive knowledge of the contract preparation and review process and the ability to draft contract language, subject to review by the Contracts Attorney.
We are seeking a candidate who has a passion for the cause of organized labor, an understanding of the construction industry, and will be able to work closely with both our Contracts team as well as external entities. Candidates should have experience in editing documents and a strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and other document software. Candidate must be an experienced paralegal with at least 10 years in the legal field.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents.
- Conduct research to support legal proceedings.
- Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of contracts and legal disputes.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Record and store contract information.
- Review documents with an eye for grammar, punctuation, spelling, style, and tone.
- Conversion of existing PDF documents into MS Word templates.
- Draft and edit correspondence for clarity, conciseness, and accuracy.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Management of project timelines and deliverables.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in carrying out paralegal duties.
- Highly collaborative style; positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – highly proficient in Word & Adobe Acrobat. (Ability to use all functions of MS Word).
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
- Ability to stay focused and self-motivate.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- An understanding and passion for organized labor.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
