Job Description:
Summary/Objective
The HR Specialist, Training and HRIS is responsible for
implementing and overseeing relevant training processes
and systems, including ISO related, and for the
administration, enhancement and coordination of human
resources systems projects, ensuring compliance with
relevant regulations and legislation. HR systems may
include employee movement tracking, success
factors/perform and grow process, learning management
system, organization chart system and employee
self-service portals.
Essential Functions
  • Design and implement a standardized framework to
ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Implement and manage training records process.
  • Leverage corporate Learning Management System and
identify opportunities to leverage the tool.
  • Evaluate training program effectiveness, updating
and improving procedures as needed.
  • Benchmark best practices in technical/OJT and make
recommendations for improvement.
  • Serve as technical expert and point of contact for
the HR team for HR system-related projects. Develop
and maintain user procedures, guidelines and
documentation, including job aids. Train new system
users.
  • Ensure updated knowledge of changes to regulations
or legislation that may impact employee training and
HRIS practices and policies. Maintain awareness of
current trends in these areas. Benchmark and
recommend best practices.
  • Develop workforce analytics and reports that would
help managers and HR to be more efficient and
effective.
  • Secondary duties in Employee Relations
  • Other duties as assigned
Competencies
  • Strong organizational, communication and
presentation skills required
  • Proficient with MS Office products (Word, Excel,
Power Point)
  • HR Knowledge-Understands general HR policies and
practices, with significant focus on compliance and
best practices in the areas of training and HRIS
  • Experience working with ADP software, SAP and LMS
preferred
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a
team
  • Able to effectively communicate with employees in
potentially stressful situations
  • Successful candidate will be resourceful, have a
high regard for confidentiality and possess strong
analytical and problem solving skills. Flexibility
to support a 3-shift operation is required as
needed.
Education and Experience
  • Four-year degree in Business or Human Resources
and/or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
  • 2 + years of experience working specifically with
training programs and HRIS
  • HR Generalist experience is a plus
  • Experience in a global company with 300 or more
employees preferred
  • Knowledge of employment laws required
  • Knowledge of ISO training standards preferred
