Web Content Intern
Washington, DC
The Web Content Intern will support the National Coordination Office Engagement and Communications team by maintaining the USGCRP web presence at GlobalChange.gov. This will include evaluating and improving site structure and regularly updating content to reflect program activities.

This is a part-time, paid position without benefits. Schedule is flexible, up to (28) hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Chief Digital Officer and Engagement and Communications Lead, the Web Content Intern will:

Regularly update website content to reflect the status of major activities, highlight accomplishments, membership, and staff updates.
Monitor website for necessary updates and link changes.
Evaluate the website for effective organization and clear presentation.
Develop and execute a plan for website improvement.
Devise innovative approaches for the delivery of scientific content.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience managing a website
Experience generating new content or adapting existing content for delivery through digital media
Proficiency with Drupal content management system
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
Demonstrated ability to organize information
Demonstrated ability to communicate scientific or otherwise specialized topics to a non-specialized audience
Experience synthesizing information from multiple content providers into a cohesive product
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines
Familiarity with scientific and environmental issues desired but not required.
Familiarity with government communications desired but not required
