The Ordway: The Ordway, recognized as one of the U.S.'s leading not-for-profit performing arts centers, is home to a wide variety of performances throughout the year that encompass the finest in American musical theater, world music, dance, and vocal artists. Performances take place in the 1,900-seat Music Theater, and a new 1,100-seat Concert Hall. Position Purpose: The Management Assistant is responsible for providing support for the upcoming self-produced shows of 42nd Street and Smokey Joes Café. This position will assist the Ordway theatricals department in advancing the shows prior to the production period. During the production and performance period this position will assist in the execution of the company management tasks.

Timing of Position Opening: April through September, 2019
Pay Range: $13-$15 per hour, based on experience of candidate
Schedule: this position will work a variable schedule April – September 2019. Hours per week will vary from 20 – 40+, depending on producing schedules and needs. Hours will include nights and weekends.
Key Performance Areas:
Provide the administrative support needed to produce shows.
Assist to establish and maintain a professional relationship with all artists and show staff during the producing process.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to work a flexible work schedule as the Theatricals schedule demands.
Two or more years of Stage Management, Production Management, Company Management, Technical Theatre, Arts Administration, or applicable experience preferred.
Knowledge of union contracts and theatrical protocol required.
Knowledge of MS Word and Excel, ITunes, Online Music Transposition software, and Dropbox.
