Nuvance Health Medical Practice, an affiliate of Vassar Brothers Medical Center and Northern Dutchess Hospital, just 75 minutes north of New York City, has excellent opportunities for an employed, full-time Neurologists to join our growing Neurosciences Program. We are seeking dedicated and well-trained physicians with subspecialty training preferred in epilepsy, movement disorders and/or neuromuscular disorders. The practice is a combination of inpatient and outpatient coverage. The Neurology Division is part of a comprehensive neurosciences program, including Neurosurgery, Interventional Neuroradiology, and Stroke.
Our practices cover three hospitals and have locations throughout the Hudson Valley. The team of seven neurologists offers subspecialties that include neuromuscular diseases, epilepsy, movement disorders and neuroimmunology. Additionally, our team holds directorships of three stroke programs and three PM&R programs. There is ample opportunity to participate in clinical trials and other clinical research.
We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and allowances for CMEs and dues expenses as well as a relocation stipend.
VBMC is a 365-bed facility that has served New York’s Mid-Hudson Valley since 1887. Overlooking the beautiful Hudson River in the city of Poughkeepsie, NY, VBMC has established centers of excellence in cardiac services, cancer care and women and children’s health services. This is an extraordinary time for VBMC with new ACGME-accredited residency programs and planning is underway for the Marist-Nuvance Health Medical School. Additionally, a new state-of-the-art patient pavilion which features all private rooms is scheduled to open in this month.
