We are currently looking for research engineers!
We extract rich information from dynamic medical images in order to provide functional data to physicians. We use custom built software, along with general-purpose programming languages (such as Python), to evaluate novel concepts conceived within the team. We develop new products that deliver better information and in turn better patient outcomes.
What can you expect as a research engineer at 4Dx?
You will work in Los Angeles in our diverse, multi-disciplinary Innovation Team to create and test new image processing techniques. You will be involved with pre-clinical experiments and clinical trials in collaboration with leading institutes in the field of pulmonology. You will work relatively autonomously, with our Director of Innovation providing guidance and mentorship.
As a start-up company, our agility is a key strength, so your work will be varied and may change quickly. While your ability to work independently is important, we more strongly value your ability to share your knowledge with the rest of the team, thereby ensuring an environment in which all team members grow and develop together.
Who are you?
Whatever your level, you’ll embrace our goal of providing better health outcomes to patients. You’ll be someone who enjoys learning new technologies and developing new skills. We expect that you’ll have at least 3 years of experience working on advanced image processing, computer vision or related technologies, and that you are competent in basic scripting/coding. You’ll have a degree in a related field (e.g. mechatronics, electrical or mechanical engineering, computer science, physics, applied mathematics), and you’ll feel comfortable analyzing complex data. Industry experience and/or postgraduate qualifications will be considered favorably. Experience working with medical imaging is desirable, but not necessary.
People of all ages, genders, and backgrounds are encouraged to apply. We are an Equal Opportunity employer, providing a dynamic, supportive work environment. We offer a competitive package that includes premium health insurance, paid vacation, employee share scheme participation and generous performance-based incentives.
Applicants for this position should have USA residency or hold a valid US work visa.
