Lead Credit Analyst

LOCATION: We are flexible with locations, will consider a candidate that can work out of our Sheboygan, Manitowoc or Fox Valley offices.

Position Summary:

Directly manage the Credit Analysts and prepare credit analyses. Assist the Bank’s business bankers in the in the timely and objective analysis of new and existing extensions of credit. Gather information and develop relationships with customers under the direction of the Business Bankers. Act and be perceived as a credit expert. Will act as a back up to the Chief Credit Officer.

  • Directly manage Credit Analysts.
  • Complete credit reviews for prospective borrowers to assist in the underwriting process, and make recommendations to the respective lender and approval officer, when necessary
  • Attend the meetings and be able to present credit requests
  • Contact customers for financial information. Provide customer service in the absence or at the direction of the business banker
  • Accompany lenders on business calls when needed; ensure that you have a good understanding of the client’s credit needs and credit situation.
  • Assist in the tracking and timely completion of annual credit reviews, as required by the Lending Policy
  • Review collateral documentation to ensure accuracy in comparison to the approved structure
  • As needed, conduct UCC and/or Real Estate Title Searches on those credits that have been identified for potential lien position risks
  • Assist in the tracking, collection and spreading of Borrower’s Business Financial Statements and Personal Financial Statements, as required by each lending arrangement determined by the respective Lender
  • Deal with more complex business client accounts, industries (bond issuances, agricultural services) and customer financing transactions such as business acquistions or ESOPs
  • Will be assigned special projects by the Chief Credit Officer or Senior Lender in terms of project completion
  • Be able to forecast and meet deadlines, with little direction

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics. Master’s preferred
  • At least 7 years of proven credit experience and mentoring
  • Fully competent as a Credit Analyst II
  • Self-motivated

  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to handle self professionally with all levels of clients
