Summary
Serve as a strategic partner between business clients, technical development staff, vendors and third-party administrators. The BA will also participate in the creation of analysis and requirements for the organization in support of new sales initiatives and optimization of existing processes. This person will be responsible for partnering with the business in analysis of process and information needs to clearly identify and document project requirements for technology solutions.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Create and execute quality project plans to support Operations leaders in process optimization across multiple locations
Provide visibility to project managers and sponsors on progress against approaching milestones, issues, risks and dependencies
Accurately document, track and report on detailed implementation tasks to ensure that the business requirements for the solution are being fulfilled
Document and analyze current and future state processes and system interfaces to identify. process improvement opportunities aimed at increasing process quality and efficiency.
Compile and review operational data to enhance agent and client experiences though the point-of-sale process.
Document/maintain point of sale application requirements with vendors.
Understand UAT documents and participate in various QA testing initiatives as required, with the ability to differentiate business purpose from technical requirements
Aggregate data and reports to maintain and manage the Operational dashboard
Assist in creating and updating process maps and performing in gap/trend analysis.

Education and/or Experience and Skills
2-5 Years of experience working as a business analyst or business systems analyst
Project Planning and experience in organizing project deployments for peer team members
Experience with insurance administrative systems and with point-of-sale technologies such as iPipeline, AnnuityNet, Apptical, and Firelight
Track record of managing and delivering projects and business requirements.
Demonstrates a high level of initiative and seeks and encourages others to implement new solutions to operational challenges
Ability to assimilate data and create reports, presentations, and workflow diagrams, utilizing
Excel, PowerPoint, Query, and other tools
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, at all levels of the organization
Ability to effectively interact/interface with external parties – agents, distributors, customers, and vendors
Tactful and professional, with the ability to influence others
Ability to influence strong critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively problem solve
Experience gathering and documenting user requirements
Ability to work in a complex and innovative environment
