Retention Architect position manages the retention of applications on our Teradata ecosystem. Responsibilities include:
This role is responsible for helping the application managers and LOB become compliant with Global Records Management governance policy by creating Retention Agreements. Retention Agreements are very complicated and require a great deal of attention to detail. The Retention Architect has to understand how the data flows through the ecosystem and at what point the data must be retained. This tasks is an educational task, teaching others about retention requirements and how to properly retain data at the right stages as data moves through our system.
The Retention Architect documents and records the retention agreements between TSSS, Application Teams, and LOB entering data into the Retention Engine for automated retention.
Provide technical direction and system architecture advice for individual initiatives.
Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource.
Collaborate with external development teams to coordinate required data retention requirements.
Experience with Application Architecture and Retention.
Teradata SQL Assistant
Good communication and persuasion skills
SQL Knowledge (preferably Teradata 2 – 3 yrs)
Excellent verbal and written skills
Proficient with MS office Tools
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Data Warehousing experience
