Factory Athletics, a leader in baseball and softball development services for youth athletes, is seeking an experienced, reliable and task-oriented Accounting Manager. This position reports to the Vice President of Finance and must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. Applicant must possess the ability to be punctual and work independently. Must also possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and display a professional and personable demeanor.
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the staff accountant will provide direct support in doing various balance sheet account reconciliations, assist in the closing process by preparing and entering various journal entries (revenue, expenses, payroll, depreciation, etc.) into QuickBooks. This position will also assist with the preparation of bi-monthly payroll/commissions from source data to Paychex Payroll systems. The position will also process cash and credit card payments updating the AR system. The position will also provide support to the accounts payable process in processing various vendor invoices, internal expense reports, and event expense payments for independent contractors. Prepare documentation of accounting procedures and processes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERENCES:
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s degree
Required Fields of Study: Accounting
Minimum Years of Experience: 2-4 years
· Very organized and accurate
· Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work
· Works well under pressure and in fast paced environment
· Provide high level of customer service
· Accounting Degree preferred but not necessary
· 2-4 years’ experience in the accounting field
· Experienced with QuickBooks
· Excellent communication skills
· AR and AP Experience
