## Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Pre-operative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures.
## Duties
- Monitor patients pre and post-anesthesia and assess their condition
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient recovery
- Assist with procedures such a cystoscopies, biopsies, botulinum toxin treatments, and catheterization
-Actively participates in the development of a healthy work environment.
-Uses interpersonal skills to establish and maintain healthy interpersonal relations, which include functional trust, positive feedback, and constructive criticism.
-Good communication skills: oral and written.
-Critical Thinking: Ability to make sound nursing judgement based on nursing theory. ----
-Demonstrates primary nurse accountability through coordination, communication, and continuity of patient care.
-Must be able to assess, prioritize, plan and implement direct patient care.
Knowledge: Working knowledge and experience in PACU from hospital or ambulatory surgery center including direct patient care. Ability to adhere to work schedule and manage time appropriately. Ability to utilize resources in a timely, organized and cost effective manner.
## Qualifications
Current Massachusetts R.N. license, BCLS, ACLS required and PALS recommended. Clinical experience with an emphasis in PACU, surgery or ER/ICU required. Knowledge of regulatory standards.
