About You:

We're seeking an entry-level Graphic Designer who has experience in Squarespace and PowerPoint to join our team. You'll be responsible for creating brand images, charts, icons, illustrations and typography that can be used in new media and print. Uses software and hand-rendering to design products that meet the needs of the client. Our ideal candidate is hardworking, outgoing, entrepreneurial, innovative, and can hit the ground running. If you have another interest in life besides graphic design, please let it shine. DBC is a studio environment and the JDT will work closely with the Creative Director to work from start to finish on a design and not just do production work.

You'll be working on all facets of design from concept, design, and production to final execution for projects ranging from of branding, print, to web design and development. We have clients of all shapes and sizes who are great to work with and appreciate effective design.

There is room for growth here, and it's embedded in the job. You can only be a JDT for 1 year. Towards the end of the year, we'll decide together where you see yourself heading (inside or outside of DBC), and we'll help you get there!

Professional and Personal Development are of the utmost importance at DBC.

We're in the process of closing a few larger projects, and need a designer available ASAP. Qualifications

0 - 2 years designing professional design experience in print and web
Command of all the usual tools–Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, the latest versions of Mac OS, Adobe Creative Suite
Are you a motion graphic designer? You have a future here.
Web design experience (HTML, CSS and Squarespace)
Presentation design experience is a must
Superior visual and conceptual skills
Demonstrates excellent communication and collaboration skills
Effectively prioritizes workload
Problem solving abilities, knowing when to problem solve independently and when to ask for help
Ability to perform under pressure, manage stress and maintain focus
Positive, transparent, self-motivated with high attention to detail
A desire to learn, and continue learning
A desire to teach everyone else in the studio

Compensation:
The 2018 Base Salary for 1st Year Junior Design Thinker at DBC is $42,000

Bonuses are based on performance of both Team Member and Company

Base Salaries for 2019 1st Year Intermediate Design Thinkers will be set in December 2018.
