We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in Elkhart, IN. This critical role will ensure the quality and reliability of our products, overseeing quality assurance processes for new developments and production batches. The ideal candidate will review product designs, manage on-site product reviews, and maintain comprehensive quality documentation. This role also involves interaction with suppliers to ensure compliance with functional and aesthetic requirements, addressing quality issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Conduct comprehensive inspections and assessments of new products and production batches to ensure they meet Coach Glasss functional and aesthetic standards (integrated with ANSI Z26.1).

Report findings to Engineering and maintain accurate records in the system.

Collaborate with design and Engineering teams to address any concerns or complications.

Coordinate and conduct on-site product trials, ensuring that products meet customer specifications.

Act as the primary contact for product quality issues, providing timely and effective resolution.

Maintain and manage detailed quality documentation, including measurement sheets, review forms, and Engineering Change Control (ECC) forms.

Ensure all quality-related data is accurately recorded and accessible for future reference.

Review product data submitted by suppliers to verify compliance with functional and aesthetic requirements.

Address any non-compliance issues with suppliers and work collaboratively to implement corrective actions.

Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for process enhancements and efficiency gains.

Participate in training on new equipment and technologies, such as CMM devices, to enhance quality assurance capabilities.

Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for product non-conformances.

Provide technical support to customer service and supply chain teams.

Working knowledge of design of experiments and lean manufacturing continuous improvement initiatives.

Working knowledge of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) is preferred.

Relevant technical training or certification in Quality Assurance or a related field.

Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software (Rhino, SolidWorks) is preferred.

Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Ability to read, understand, and translate engineering drawings and blueprints.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Must have a clean driving record.

Must pass a drug test and background check.
Lift parts up to 50 pounds, engage in frequent drives between facilities, and stand for extended periods in store or warehouse environments.
