Minimum Qualifications
Must have at least one year of experience driving a tractor trailer in the past 3 years
Valid Class A CDL and have a current DOT medical card
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must pass a road test
Must have an acceptable driving record per policy
Must achieve acceptable responses to Previous Employment Verifications
Must pass drug, background check, and pre-employment tests
Must be approved by the compliance department on all DOT and Saddle Creek Transportation requirements prior to driving for Saddle Creek Transportation
Responsibilities
Safely drive a commercial motor vehicle (tractor and trailer)
Complete deliveries on schedule and interface with customers effectively
Assist in loading and unloading of the vehicle
Verify order to ensure correct products loaded
Meet all company standards and DOT requirements for vehicles and drivers
Follows company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same
Works cooperatively and productively with supervisors and other associates to complete tasks
Provides and inspires outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail and completing assigned work in a timely manner
Perform and document pre and post trip inspections and complete all necessary paperwork
All other duties as assigned

Knowledge, skills and abilities
Must have working knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
Deliver excellent customer service
Ability to maintain all DOT required licenses and documentation
Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs.
Ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work independently
Ability to adhere to DOT rules and regulations
Ability to operate in a constant state of alertness, and safe manner
Ability to safely get in and out of the cab on your own
Ability to safely drive both automatic and manual transmissions
