The New York Times is looking for an associate editor to work on special print sections of the paper, produced and designed out of The New York Times Magazine.

Examples of sections this department has produced in the last year:

fiction excerpt
annotated constitution
just for kids
This is a rare opportunity to create visually stunning and editorially enriching sections.

We're looking for a candidate with:
print magazine experience (especially front-of-book and/or packages)

some assigning and editing experience

demonstrated writing and reporting skill

enthusiastic idea generation

good research skills

detail-oriented

obsessively organized

comfortable approaching anyone

must enjoy collaboration

must have a good sense of humor
