Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.
Enterprise Functions Compliance is responsible for overseeing compliance risk management across seven Enterprise Functions: Enterprise Finance, Wells Fargo Technology, Human Resources, Public Affairs, Legal Department, Corporate Risk, and Internal Audit. In addition, the group oversees regulatory requirements aligned to other Risk functions as well as a number of regulations and compliance programs that cross multiple lines of business.
The Enterprise Functions Compliance Shared Services function is responsible for facilitating and coordinating the implementation and consistent execution and reporting of the enterprise-wide compliance risk management activities in accordance with the Wells Fargo Compliance Program Policy across the seven Enterprise Functions groups.
Candidate will directly support the Head of Enterprise Functions Compliance Shared Services function in managing end-to-end compliance program requirements in collaboration with Enterprise Functions Business Aligned Compliance teams, Enterprise Compliance teams, Compliance Plan initiatives, enterprise risk initiatives and related enterprise risk assessments, and end-to-end connectivity across Risk Programs.
Specific duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
Partner with Enterprise Functions Business Aligned Compliance teams on gathering, analyzing, and aggregating State of Compliance/ Focus Items/ Emerging Risk/ Issue Management reporting for each Line of Business and providing an overall group executive summary for the Head of Enterprise Functions Compliance to inform senior management and applicable risk and control committees.
Partner with WF Compliance Transformation and Regulatory Remediation Team on implementation efforts to integrate Compliance with Business Process Management and the Integrated Process Risk and Control (IPRC) Policy.
Partner with WF Compliance Strategy and Operations Team to develop new and/or continuously enhance existing reporting to reflect changes or new needs based on Risk Management Transformation, Risk Management Framework or other enterprise or Compliance program needs.
Facilitate coordination with Enterprise Functions Business Aligned Compliance teams and various Enterprise Risk Programs and Assessments (e.g., Enterprise Risk Identification and Assessment (ERIA), RCSA, External Loss Data (ELD) events, etc.) on Compliance review and credible challenge processes.
Work closely with Enterprise Functions Compliance team and collaborate with WF Compliance Strategy and Operations to evaluate technology needs and identify technology solutions to support target state.
Work with key stakeholders to manage enhancement and remediation projects, including formulating project plans and timelines, facilitating working sessions, reporting on progress, and driving execution.
Build strong partnerships and collaborate effectively with business, enterprise function, and Compliance partners.
Perform or assist team members with ad hoc assignments/ projects.
10+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 10+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 7+ years must include direct experience in risk management
A BS/BA degree or higher
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
