The Sr. Accountant – WHQ Financial Analysis position will play a critical role in our WHQ function supporting budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting responsibilities for the Accounting and Corporate Affairs functions. This is a unique opportunity for someone with a strong background in accounting to enter a role that is finance focused. The position will be responsible for understanding and analyzing actuals, executing accounting, preparing forecasts, and communicating with key business partners. This position will interact cross functionally across the Accounting organization, Financial Planning and Analysis, Corporate Affairs and external auditors. The position could also be required to assist in other significant projects, which vary based on the Company’s business transactions and priorities (e.g., acquisitions, divestitures, new policies, new types of transactions, training initiatives, benchmarking, etc.).
- Prepare and maintain budget files for both Accounting and Corporate Affairs, acting as finance support for both function’s Zero Based Budgeting enities
- Responsible for preparing month end accounting entries on a repeating and ad-hoc basis
- Maintaining area related SOX controls, specifically the analysis of P&L and Balance Sheet fluctuations for World Headquarters / Non-Operating segment
- Prepare and review reporting schedules used in the preparation of KHC’s financial statements
- Prepare monthly reporting to provide visibility to our business partners
- Assist with ad hoc requests
- Working with external auditors
- Assisting in projects relating to M&A activity, accounting and reporting as they become necessary
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA a plus
Minimum of 2 years of experience. Some public accounting with emphasis in SEC engagements preferred.
Strong communication skills
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations
Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects, while effectively operating in a fast-paced, complex global organization with shifting schedules and priorities
Experience with SAP, Reval, or Hyperion Financial Management a plus
Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills
Ability to work efficiently and achieve high quality results
Excellent analytical, teamwork, customer service and leadership skills
