Insero & Co. CPA’s Recruiting Services division is currently recruiting for a Credit Manager (Direct Hire) position for a very successful, family owned company (client of the firm) located in Rochester, NY. The salary for this position ranges based on experience.
The Credit Manager is responsible for overseeing the credit and collections of the company and supervision of collections staff members. This person should possess strong customer service skills as he/she will be in communication with customers and internal associates.
Supervise credit and collection activities of the collections staff to ensure they are meeting monthly goals and adhering to department policies
Monitor daily receipts and resolution of billing on accounts
Monitor and review aging reports weekly
Preparing aging reports for salespeople on assigned accounts
Review and approve incoming credit applications
Build relationships with various internal departments and external customers
Negotiate payment terms and pay offs with clients
Prepare collection and demand letters as necessary
Facilitates meetings with sales department
Regularly conducts meeting with collections staff and provides appropriate coaching or training
Other duties as assigned
3-5 years of previous credit and accounts receivable experience is required. 2+ years of previous supervisory experience is also required. Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is highly preferred. Organization and strong communication skills are vital for this opportunity. Ability to work under pressure and make decisions is critical.
