DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Experienced event producer with strong creative vision and an excellent understanding of event logistics and planning. Leads coordination, planning, execution, and overall project management of Product Marketing events, including large-scale consumer-facing events and competitions. Works with senior leadership across multiple departments to align project plans and support the greater marketing and sales department in meeting business objectives.
Drives strategic planning, execution, and project management of high-visibility public events and gaming competitions
In partnership with manager, builds overall event strategy, look and feel, coordination, and logistics planning
Ensures global alignment with NCL and other subsidiaries on strategy, tactics and key milestones
Defines and manages production and execution timelines, milestones and tasks; ensures all team members are delivering quality results on time
Provides consistent and regular communication will key stakeholders, internal and external, throughout the design, development and execution of Product Marketing live events
Coordinates approvals for overall tactics including video, print and other assets among outside partners, internal teams and stakeholders, department leadership and Nintendo Company Limited (NCL)
Applies and balances input and feedback from key stakeholders including NOA executives, NOA and NCL management, development teams, supervisors, and other teams/partners for successful event production and execution
Oversees onsite event staff, competition and event participants, film crews and others as needed
Documents all plans, processes and guidelines associated with individual events, participates in post-event evaluations, and supports continuous improvement, adoption of best practices, and application of key learnings to future events
Formulates and contributes to written reports and analysis of executed events and competitions, assists in presenting to internal marketing and promotion groups, and collects and maintains relevant data, metrics and demographics
Focuses on assigned products and events, learning/evaluating game strengths, modes and features through hands-on game play, and drives the design and planning events and competitions in a manner that reflects and showcases those features
As designated, may represent Nintendo as an official corporate spokesperson; successful completion of training required
Ability to shift priorities or deploy contingency plans, and rally a team around a change of direction, often with little notice
Supports campaign launch activities and live event executions as assigned
Extensive gameplay experience on all assigned titles
Estimated travel 25-40%
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
Minimum six years in Marketing, PR, Communications or creative production experience preferred
Knowledge of project management skills and techniques
Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to gain cooperation among multiple departments
Creative vision to help shape strategic direction for live, gaming events
Ability to maintain calm and focus under pressure
Knowledge of Nintendo products, franchises, and history
In-depth video game knowledge
Strong knowledge of video game industry and video game tournaments and competitions
Expertise in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Attention to detail and accuracy
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s degree
