Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Data Center Technician to join our team with an immediate hire. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and reliability of our data center operations. This role involves ensuring the smooth functioning of all equipment and systems within the data center environment. This position will be part time with a flexible schedule.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidates will have some experience in manufacturing, construction, or electrical troubleshooting.
- 1+ years’ experience in manufacturing, construction, electrical and/or technical troubleshooting.
- Ability to be a problem solver, hard worker, team player, and demonstrate flexibility.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- The individual must have the ability to be on your feet 8+ hours per day.
- Ability to lift/carry 40 lbs.
- Be available 24/7 via phone for any outages and or escalations.
- Tolerance to Harsh Conditions - our working environment is both indoors and outdoors and includes cold rooms with excess wind speed and hot rooms.
Responsibilities
- As a Data Center Technician, you will be working with state-of-the-art computing and networking equipment allowing for the team to ensure maximum uptime and operational excellence.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for daily retrieving, confirming, and returning miners to their specific spots within the Data Center, according to our internal ticketing system.
- This person will also be responsible for data collection and fulfilling various projects and tasks as needed in the Operations Department.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on data center equipment to ensure efficient operations.
- Retrieving offline miners, organizing, and un-racking/racking computer equipment to be diagnosed or repaired.
- Running hardware diagnostics and replacing failing parts in a timely manner.
- Assist the Site Supervisor or other Technicians with daily tasks and duties.
- Maintaining an organized equipment area and storage of available hardware, ensuring a clean, presentable environment.
- Receiving new inventory and barcoding items in internal systems for inventory control.
- Detail oriented when returning miners to their designated spot and insuring accuracy of placement.
- Team Player mentality, you will be working with individuals from different departments as well as team members within your department, both onsite and remote.
- Ability to communicate any problems or obstacles to senior management in a timely manner is critical.
- Other responsibilities designated by the immediate supervisor.
