The Communications Representative fills a variety of roles as a member of the marketing team. They are responsible for managing a mix of projects from across the organization, as well as enterprising new ideas to meet the company's business objectives and tell the Summit story.

Responsibilities
Researches, prepares, writes and reviews articles for internal and/or external communications, which may include general announcements, presentations, newsletters, advertisements, operational changes, and press releases, content for internal/external websites and/or communications to customers.
Ensures communications are appropriate, accurate and grammatically correct.
Develops and executes communication strategies and timelines for communication initiatives
Identifies and documents project stakeholders' objectives, audience, standards, timing, budget and distribution methods.
Collaborates with design team to ensure creative objectives are clearly defined and executed.
May plan and organize activities and events for customers or employees relating to trade shows, special promotions, rollouts, product launches, and/or public/community relations.
Collaborates with management and other functional areas (Sales, Underwriting, etc.) to understand desired outcomes and ensure objectives are met.
Participates in maintaining company archives/libraries for photographs, logos, graphics, communications, newsletters, press releases and other communication materials.
Maintains an organized record of ongoing projects and keeps marketing leadership informed on project status on an ongoing basis.
May participate in responding to routine inquiries, requests, concerns and/or complaints. Refers non-routine inquires to more experienced staff.
Develops working knowledge of regulatory guidelines and agencies pertaining to communications, advertising and marketing materials.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
3 to 5 years of marketing or communications experience preferred
Demonstrated proficiency in writing and editing (writing samples required)
Strong project management skills
Digital marketing knowledge and experience, including social media, email marketing, content marketing, etc.
Design/layout experience a plus, particularly with the Adobe Creative Suite
Knowledge of workers compensation and insurance industry preferred
Ability to meet deadlines and work within a team environment
