JOB GOAL: To coordinate and facilitate American Indian Education programs for students and families K-12.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluate athletes for pre-existing conditions that may predispose them to injuries.
Teach athletes proper techniques, warm-up exercises, and conditioning programs to prevent injuries.
Educate athletes, coaches, and parents on injury prevention and health maintenance.
Ensure that sports equipment and facilities are safe and well-maintained.
Implement and monitor compliance with safety policies and protocols.
On-Field Response: Provide immediate first aid and emergency care during practices and games. Assess the severity of injuries and decide on the appropriate course of action.
Emergency Action Plans: Develop emergency action plans for dealing with severe injuries and medical emergencies. Coordinate with emergency medical services when necessary.
Injury Management: Design and oversee rehabilitation programs for injured athletes.
Follow-Up Care: Monitor the progress of injured athletes and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Communicate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals regarding athletes' recovery.
Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of injuries, treatments, and rehabilitation progress. Document communications with parents, coaches, and healthcare providers.
Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with school policies, state regulations, and athletic
association rules. Prepare reports and documentation for insurance claims and legal purposes as needed.
Working with Coaches: Collaborate with coaches to develop safe training programs. Advise coaches on injury management and athlete health.
Parent and Athlete Communication: Keep parents informed about their child's injuries, treatment plans, and progress. Provide guidance to athletes on managing injuries and returning to play.
Continuing Education: Stay current with the latest research, techniques, and best practices in sports medicine and athletic training. As needed, attend workshops, conferences, and certification programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Adhere to ethical standards and professional guidelines.
Promoting overall health and wellness among student-athletes, including nutrition, mental health, and lifestylechoices.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSING: Maintain necessary certifications, such as those from the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) or equivalent state licenses.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: ASAP-June 13, 2025 (233 days)-Monday-Friday, occasional Saturday
HOURS: Varied, typically afternoon and evenings

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
