The Product Line Manager - SoC has business, strategy and product line ownership of our industry leading FPGA and SoC products. The successful candidate will lead a high-profile product line with strong growth potential and compelling value proposition in wireless, wired, automotive, industrial/medical and data center. Ideal for an energetic, motivated individual with strong business acumen, and excellent communications skills, this position entails a significant level of influence internally with other technology and marketing groups. The position requires technical command, experience and insights to develop and nurture our new FPGA and SoC’s.

Responsibilities include managing all aspects of new product introduction both internally with all factory stakeholders and externally by interfacing directly with customers and sales teams worldwide. This individual possesses unwavering customer focus, critical thinking capabilities, and excellent communication skills both written and oral. Sound business judgment and the ability to work as part of a high performance team in a fast paced environment with multiple cross-functional teams are critical for success. This position will include some travel for customer/field interaction.

Other Responsibilities:
Understand in depth the wide spectrum of customer requirements, market trends and financial objectives and synthesis them into a cohesive product line strategy.
Possesses an understanding of embedded processing systems, operating systems, embedded system debuggers, embedded processing applications and system requirements.
Prepare and present a compelling SoC, software and solution value proposition to field and customers incorporating Xilinx’s distinctive competence.
Collaborate with sales, FAEs, vertical market business teams, and system architects to drive awareness of SoC and software capabilities and demonstrate the value of these solutions.
Deliver SoC, software and solution centric messaging and train sales, FAEs and specialists.
Present and demonstrate SoC and software products and technologies to customers.

BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with a minimum of 5+ years semiconductor experience and 3+ years of sales or marketing experience in the semiconductor industry, with a proven track record
Master’s degree in technical discipline or MBA is a plus, but not required.
Proven experience in successfully bringing new technologies and/or business models to marketing and driving market adoption.
Demonstrate customer empathy and experience in identification of customer needs as well as an understanding of customer focused design practices
Ability to work in a fast paced environment as part of a world class high performance team
A passion for winning and achieving challenging revenue, design win and market share targets
Experience in product positioning, value messaging, launching and market planning
Experience defining market requirements and involvement in product planning
Experience managing demand creation and lead generation activities
Experience developing requirements, marketing collateral, training content
Must be able to communicate with all levels within the corporation with excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Motivated self-starter with ability to enlist key supporters
Excellent customer interface skills
