GFA International, Inc. is currently seeking a Temperature Screener for COVID-19 at Jobsites.
The Temperature Screener on-site safety consultant in Construction, General Industry and Maritime settings (work sites). This role is Temporary and can lead to a permanent role (subject to extension based on the situation with the COVID-19/Coronavirus).
GFA is a full-service engineering consulting firm specializing in geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, construction materials testing, building inspections and environmental health & safety consulting. Our clients include contractors, developers, owners, engineers, architects, state and local governments, school boards, departments of transportation, universities, banks, and realtors.
Works under the supervision of the Director of the EHS Department and Medical Doctor.
Monitor incoming staff or guest’s temperature by using a non-touch thermometer
Allowing entrance into the Workplace/Worksite
Recording of attendees'/visitors' details, temperature
Enforcing Personal Protective Equipment at facility entrances
Collection of data on Symptom Questionnaire
Participate in required COVID-19 training classes (screening, PPE, safe work practice, proper hygiene)
Keep track of stock level for masks, thermometer covers, and working conditions of thermometers, etc.
Other ad hoc duties as assigned
Ability to start immediately
Able to commit 6 days a week including weekends, Working Hours 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
Ability to work in hot outdoor environments
MUST have previous experience working in the Medical/Healthcare Industry
MUST have previous Medical Training
Expected to wear PPE (Goggles, gloves, respirator/face mask, Tyvek suit/coveralls/gown (Potentially-As Required))

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Travel to and from job sites is required. Most job sites are located in Florida and travel is typically during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected. Must have an excellent driving record.
