Assist with systems engineering planning across an aircraft program and coordinate the development of technical plans and documentation required to support the aircraft program’s major milestones. Assist with the implementation and maintenance of effective systems engineering policies, plans, and processes across the aircraft program in accordance with DoD Instruction 5000.02. Assist with the development and update of Joint Program Office (JPO) Systems Engineering Plan (SEP) to describe the aircraft program’s technical planning, processes, and procedures for systems engineering throughout the aircraft acquisition life cycle. Assist with the review of the prime contractor’s systems engineering management plan and associated systems engineering instructions to ensure compliance with the Program Office SEP and system engineering objectives. Assist with continuous process improvement of the aircraft program engineering community of practice using Lean Six Sigma or similar techniques.
- 10 years of experience in an engineering or technical role
- 4 years of experience in a systems engineering or defense acquisition program
- Experience with technical project management
- Secret clearance
- BS degree in Engineering or Science
