We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Compliance Analyst to function within the Compliance Department of Grand Bank for Savings, FSB (“Grand Bank”). The candidate will focus on compliance matters related to the Bank’s new and existing business lines, specifically mortgage, deposits, debit cards, credit cards, remote deposit capture, and electronic fund transfers. The candidate will also implement and manage the vendor and third party risk management efforts of Grand Bank regarding those lines of business. The candidate must be able to identify and anticipate regulatory and operational risk, to measure, manage, and remediate those risks, and to test the operating effectiveness of implemented mitigating controls.
Responsibilities
· Implement and manage compliance efforts regarding the mortgage, deposit, debit card, credit card, remote deposit capture, and electronic fund transfer activities of the Bank and its customers
· Conduct compliance testing, monitoring, and internal auditing regarding the laws applicable to those activities, including TILA, ECOA, FCRA, FDCPA, and UDAAP
· Implement and manage the vendor, affiliate, and third party risk management efforts, including the Third Party Compliance Risk Management program
· Periodically test, monitor, and annually review the vendors and affiliates who perform operational activities for Grand Bank
· Develop and maintain positive working relationships within related business units, affiliates, and vendors to ensure a partnership approach to compliance risk management
· Maintain current knowledge of all applicable federal and state laws and regulations, along with Grand Bank’s policies and procedures
· Evaluate existing internal processes and collaborate with process owners to develop and implement procedures and controls that align with organizational efficiency, risk mitigation objectives, and regulatory requirements
· Identify and escalate matters requiring the attention of the Chief Compliance Officer
· Ensure business lines, affiliates, and vendors are informed of new or revised policies or regulations affecting compliance within their scope of operation
· Resolve customer and internal inquiries in a timely, accurate manner
· Participate in the development of responses to agency examinations, audit concerns, and any required corrective actions
· Perform other duties as assigned
Education
- BA or BS degree from an accredited four-year college or university (preferred, but work experience and history considered)
Experience
- 5 years in Consumer Financial Services Compliance/Audit (depository experience is a plus)
Skills
- Applied knowledge of deposit and lending regulations and the ability to apply applicable regulations to product and services, monitoring, and testing
- Ability to work independently and deliver superior results
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to "connect the dots" of multiple data points across multiple business units
- Strong, effective interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and listening) with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization
- Ability to navigate a growing organization and handle multiple projects at one time
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Team player who can manage time sensitive deliverables
