Job Responsibilities:
Organize and execute turnaround (TAR) and capital projects (CAPEX) in Air Separation and Carbon Dioxide plants with spending from $100,000 to $3,000,000 and are 1 week to 6 weeks in length.

Develop detailed plans/strategies for execution, including HSE planning, contracting and procurement strategy, project controls and staffing.

Assist in and develop TAR scopes Manage materials and QA/QC process throughout the TAR process.

Organize job walks and bid activities to ensure all scope, contractors and subs are clear and available for execution and meet the operating plants

Ensure optimization of the TAR schedule and resource loading

Recommend and manage appropriate TAR & CAPEX organization to deliver scope, schedule and cost requirements

Ensure complete and timely integration of any Capital, Controls, Engineering or Operations projects scope within the TAR plan; report on its progress throughout the TAR process

Ensure TAR development and execution is properly planned and staffed, including interfacing with Safety, Engineering, Controls & Operations to assure adequate participation

Ensure all pre-TAR work is completed and materials are received prior to outage

Manage the scope change process and discovery work cost control

Ensure effective utilization of the Turnaround (TAR) Process for ASU, CO2 and VSA locations.

Plans and directs all design engineers, drafters, and technical engineers working on specific projects. Oversees product construction and testing in order to ensure completion of projects as efficiently and effectively as possible

Drive engagement; ensure alignment of the team with TAR objectives

Communicate on TAR status, issues and concerns; provide solutions for open issues

Assure issues are resolved in a timely manner to minimize impacts

Provide accurate and timely reporting on cost and schedule performance during the TARs.

Complete the post TAR meetings, zone forecast reports and develops annual maintenance planning budget for the zone.

Technical Expertise:
BS Project/Construction Management with a Mechanical Background (Project Portfolio Management a Plus)

5 years of TAR management or project engineering experience

Proficiency in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and project planning software

Excellent planning and organizational skills, Competent in conflict and crisis management

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated interpersonal skills

Demonstrate proficiency in areas of procurement, evaluation and selection of contractors, contracts and negotiation

Ability to work with all levels of personnel

Comfortable in both corporate and field environments

Ability to multitask, prioritize in periods of peak work volume

Ability to work self directed, make sound decisions

Knowledge of implementing and participating in continuous improvement procedures

Experience supervising or managing projects from $100K to $3MM

Physical Requirements:
Willingness/ability to travel up to 50% of the time to fulfill responsibilities; can travel on short notice (2 to 10 days)

Has full range of motion; ability to lift 50 lbs

Physical range of motion required to climb and descend ladders, work at heights above 50 feet
