We are seeking a motivated, experienced individual to join our company as a Fraud Prevention Analyst. As part of our anti-fraud team, you will analyze and review a broad range of financial data, including trades, transfers, and the movement of funds to uncover potentially fraudulent activity. You must be familiar with data analysis techniques, software, and processes, and you should possess the creative problem-solving abilities necessary to suggest new methods of analysis and prevention.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Collect and analyze large volumes of financial data for potential fraud
Collate data and produce reports for senior managers and stakeholders
Recognize patterns of fraud and suggest new methods of detection, mitigation, and prevention
Assist with the implementation of new processes and software solution
Manage Fraud Prevention email inbox and tracking system and logs
Complete or assist in complex internal and external fraud investigations
Conduct fraud risk analyses using advanced methods and research tools provided by the company or obtained through other reliable resources
Perform “root-cause” analysis by incorporating relevant case information, as well as supporting documentation
Participate in ad-hoc requests, special projects and regulatory exams directed by other organizations within the compliance or legal departments
Performs other duties and projects as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability to work with third-party fraud tools, including case management / alert systems to aid in the prevention and detection of fraud
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical analyses to a non-technical audience
Self- motivated, dependable, adaptable and detailed- oriented
Expected to detect patterns in/and anticipate criminal activity

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college/university or equivalent work experience required
5+ years of experience developing strategies and managing major initiatives within a complex fraud mitigation environment to include:
prevention, detection and/or investigative aspects of fraud and/or broker dealer/FCM operational risk
regulatory adherence, funds availability, and/or model development.
Experience in cryptocurrency and/or banking is a plus

CERTIFICATIONS:
Series 7 and 3 required or must be obtained within the first six months
