The Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown has an immediate opening for a Director of Human Resources to manage the overall functions of the Human Resources office while providing associated guidance and best practices to the diocesan administration, parishes and related entities.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to HR staff members
- Administer policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Assist with employee benefits programs
- Implement and track leaves of absence to include FML, STD, LTD, WC, parental and personal
- Facilitate entire hiring process
- Ensure compensation ranges are current and competitive and generate reports to assist locations with determining fair pay practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources and five years of practical experience or ten years of experience within the HR field
- Two years of leadership experience
- Practical experience with employment law regulations and benefits programs
- High level of organizational and multi-tasking skills in order to provide accurate information while working independently under deadlines
