Celeris Systems is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our diverse Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Team in El Segundo, CA. The SE&I Team provides engineering, analysis, operations support, and subject matter expertise to SMC. The team also provides systems engineering and analysis services to include system development, enterprise and system architecture, acquisition, testing, operations, and sustainment support for existing and new capabilities. Team members also provide an enterprise perspective for identification and review of risks and risk mitigation plans and work to institutionalize systems engineering best practices across the SMC organization. Major duties of the position include:

  • Execute enterprise-level test planning, test execution, and test closure for system-level requirement verification
  • Support system-level analysis and simulation activities to ensure system end-to-end performance
  • Support test article tracking, deficiency reporting and test report generation
  • Analyze and support segment (Space, Control, and User) verification and validation test activities
  • Participate in risk mitigation test activities such as System Integration Demonstrations, Enterprise Assessments, Test Vectors, Modeling & Simulation and Certification Planning
  • Coordinate test activities with implementing contractors and staff from SE&I, Government, and Federal Funded Research organizations
  • Support quality Integrated Test Team and other Integrated Product Team meetings and actions

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree with 12+ years of experience or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or Mathematics with 14+ years of experience working with and integrating space and ground segments of a DoD Space program in an acquisition environment.
  • Current DoD Secret security clearance
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Strong, proactive engineer who takes the initiative to identify and solve customer challenges

Desired Qualifications

  • Current DoD Top Secret security clearance
  • Experience implementing a Developmental Evaluation Framework (DEF) and cybersecurity controls for a DoD acquisitions program.
