About the role:
The Senior Process Engineer leads plant discussions and investigations to improve throughput, efficiency, quality, and environmental performance. Through data analysis, field measurements, and conversations with employees are able to diagnose issues and develop solutions. As an “influencer” able to move the plant towards greater performance.

Makes positive contributions to the plant safety activities and initiatives.

The Senior Process Engineer provides technical support to the plant’s production, quality, and environmental functions. Understands strategies, priorities, and optimization techniques that assist the plant in attainment of plant and company objectives. Evaluates operations, processes, and trends through the use of audits and systematic approaches (Six Sigma, RCFA, SPC, etc).

Provides technical support on implementation of new equipment and/or new procedures including training of plant personnel as required. Serves as coach / mentor to CP’s in process and other departments.

Primary to the Senior Process Engineer position is the coordination and participation in improvement of the Plant’s technical capabilities. The Senior Process Engineer’s objectives are to initiate process optimization in collaboration with Quality, Production and Maintenance to ensure maximum and efficient utilization of the plant’s equipment. This position has a requirement of elevating the technical knowledge and practices of all facets of the operation.

The Senior Process Engineer is seen as a developmental position to provide a full spectrum exposure to cement plant operations. Successful incumbents may be considered for advancement opportunities into supervisory or managerial positions.

Ensure compliance with internal control procedures - communicating problems in operations, unwarranted deviations from established standards, and violations of policy or law.
RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS

Collaborates with kiln coach, control room supervisors, production supervisor, coordinators, and managers, corporate engineers to analyze problems and improve operations.

Works in conjunction with quality and production departments to improve throughput and quality. Supports environmental activities.
Qualifications:
We're looking for:
Required Education: Bachelor's/Undergraduate Degree
Field of Study Preferred: Chemical Engineering, Automation Engineering, similar disciplines
Required Training/Certifications: Minimum 5 years of cement plant experience
Additional Requirements: Promotes safety
Required Computer and Software Skills: Strong computer expertise in but not limited to : Excel, Access, IP21,SAP, and SPC.

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
